The National Environment Agency seeks a Compliance Officer to join its Carbon Mitigation Division. This role involves ensuring compliance with GHG emissions regulations by conducting audits, developing guidelines, and enhancing IT reporting systems. Ideal candidates will have a degree in relevant engineering fields and experience in industrial settings.

What you will be working on:
You will be responsible for the following:
Lead field audits and conduct compliance checks to ensure that industrial facilities comply with regulatory requirements
Lead surveillance audits on accredited external auditors to ensure their compliance with regulatory requirements and verification guidelines
Analyse submissions by taxable facilities and accredited external auditors, highlight non-compliances, and enforce non-compliance cases
Review, develop and implement requirements and guidelines related to MRV of GHG emissions for taxable facilities and MRV of production data for oil refineries and crackers
Develop, implement and enhance the IT system used for MRV reporting by facilities and accredited external auditors
Design, commission and manage studies to develop new MRV requirements for emerging areas
What we are looking for:
Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering
2 years of working experience in industrial plant or GHG MRV/accounting
Knowledge of ISO 14064-3, GHG Protocol and relevant IPCC guidelines would be an advantage
Highly self-motivated, independent and resourceful
Strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills
Good team player and strong interpersonal communication skills
Physically able to perform regular field work / site visits to industrial facilities
