What the role is:
The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future-ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high-quality, sustainable, and friendly built environment. We are looking for resourceful, energetic, and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to actively contribute to Singapore’s built environment.
What you will be working on:
- You will review design and conformance to safety standards of lifts and escalators.
- You will conduct in-depth studies, testing, verification, and failure analysis on electronic hardware and software related to lifts and escalators.
- You will perform field inspections, investigate incidents, and provide technical support to your team.
What we are looking for:
- Trained in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering from a recognized university by the Professional Engineers Board.
- Registration or near-registration as a professional mechanical or electrical engineer with the Professional Engineers Board is an advantage.
- Experience in the design and/or maintenance of lifts and/or escalators or related fields such as lifting equipment.
- Good oral communication and report writing skills are essential.
