We have partnered with one of the leading retail groups in Singapore with a strong presence across multiple store formats islandwide. With a portfolio of well-established brands, the business continues to grow and adapt, serving diverse customer segments though its network of over 50 outlets.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be supporting the end-to-end delivery of compensation, benefits, and payroll-related initiatives. This role plays a vital part in ensuring fair and competitive reward practices across the Company at both the store and store support centre levels. In addition to the transactional support, the candidate is also expected to contribute to compensation proposals, salary benchmarking, and policy review exercises to strengthen the company's total rewards framework.

This role is based in Tampines.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation-Related Reviews & Administration

  • Support annual salary review, bonus, and performance increment exercises through data analysis and file preparation

  • Draft compensation proposals and justifications for new hires, promotions, and internal transfers

  • Support salary benchmarking and review exercises using internal data and market surveys to ensure competitiveness and internal equity

  • Assist in reviewing and refining compensation policies, pay practices, and job titling frameworks

  • Conduct research and provide insights into market compensation trends

Benefits-Related Reviews & Administration

  • Manage employee benefits, health & wellness programs, and related initiatives

  • Act as key contact with insurance providers and benefit vendors, supporting policy renewals, claim escalations, and service reviews

  • Educate employees on benefit entitlements, wellness programmes, and claim procedures via communication materials, briefings, and 1:1 support

  • Research and provide insights on market benefit programs

  • Support the implementation of new or revised benefit programs

Rewards Policy & Framework Support

  • Act as subject matter expert for compensation and benefits matters to HR colleagues

  • Ensure compliance with compensation approval frameworks (e.g. proposals, salary reviews, promotions)

  • Serve as the point of contact for all benefits and insurance-related escalations for employees across stores and the support centre

  • Provide insights and assist in refining compensation and benefits policies, frameworks, and templates

  • Ensure all benefit-related information is up to date in the HR Portal

  • Assist in developing dashboards and analytics related to cost of benefits, headcount movement, and attrition trends

Payroll Coordination & Reporting

  • Collaborate with payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll inputs for fixed, variable, and ad-hoc payments (e.g. EAP, ex-gratia payments)

  • Support internal and external audits by preparing required compensation and benefits documentation

  • Assist with monthly reporting and other duties as required by the line manager

Qualifications

  • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

  • At least 1 years of relevant experience in Compensation & Benefits, HR Operations, or Payroll.

  • Good analytical and numerical skills with high accuracy and attention to detail

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (e.g. pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); knowledge of Excel coding (e.g. VBA) is a plus.

  • Good understanding of Singapore’s labour regulations, including CPF, IRAS reporting, and the Employment Act.

  • Great communication and interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

  • Discreet and trustworthy in handling confidential and sensitive compensation information.
