The Asian Thoracic Oncology Research Group (ATORG) was formed in 2016 to be the central coordinating platform for translational research and multi-centre clinical trials for thoracic malignancies in the Asia Pacific region. It is hosted by National Cancer Centre Singapore.

The Executive will provide administrative support mainly for the ATORG team and the Principal Investigator (PI) in other aspects outside of ATORG. This role provides opportunities to interact internationally with healthcare institutions, industry partners, and vendors, apart from internal functions.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative support including managing PI’s schedules, reimbursements, handling correspondence, minutes taking, and organizing meetings with internal teams and external committee meetings with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) of ATORG’s network in APAC.
  2. Travel Arrangements: Organize and coordinate travel plans, accommodations, and itineraries for PI and KOLs.
  3. Office Management: Oversee office supplies inventory, ensuring availability and placing orders when necessary.
  4. Communication: Act as the point of contact for internal and external communications, ensuring messages are relayed efficiently.
  5. Assistance with research administration, which may include grant management (application, tracking of progress, reporting), purchase requisitions, consultancy agreements, and documentation for scientific activities.
  6. Coordination: Coordinate with different departments, vendors, and external partners to facilitate smooth operations. Assist in the planning and execution of education events, board meetings, and conferences. Able to work with external event agencies.

Requirements:

  1. Degree in Biomedical/Life Sciences with at least 1 year of similar working experience.
  2. Meticulous and fast worker with close attention to timelines.
  3. Strong organisational skills.
  4. Good interpersonal skills.
  5. Committed team player.
  6. Fluent in both written and spoken English.
