Job summary

A leading engineering and construction firm in Singapore is looking for a skilled Quantity Surveyor. You will be responsible for preparing contracts, managing subcontractor agreements, and ensuring compliance with specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering and have at least 6 years of experience in civil projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• Prepare bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages.
• Handle contract negotiations and prepare subcontract agreements.
• Monitor costs and prepare monthly progress claims.

Job description

Job Responsibilities :

• Prepare bill of quantities for tendering of subcontract packages including sourcing out of subcontractors/suppliers
• Handle contract negotiations with subcontractors/suppliers and prepares subcontract agreement
• Handle cost monitoring, adherence to contract specifications and drawings
• Prepare payment certificates of subcontractor
• Evaluate and negotiate revisions, changes and additions to contractual agreement with subcontractors
• Prepare variation orders and reconcile with the client’s quantity surveyors in accordance to the contract agreement
• Prepare monthly progress claim to client and assist in preparation of cashflow forecast for submission to client
• Coordinate changes in plans with design team and review the potential variation claims to client

Job Requirements :

• Diploma / Degree in Quantity Surveying / Civil Engineering or other related field
• Minimum 6 years of local working experience in Civil and Building projects
• A good team player with good initiative and positive work attitude
• Able to work independently with minimum supervision
