Job description

As Executive, Promoter Management, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and managing a team of sales promoters to drive product sales, increase brand awareness, and ensure excellent customer engagement. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, along with a deep understanding of retail sales strategies and consumer behaviour.

What you will be doing

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Collaborate with our HR agency to recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales promoters to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify areas for improvement for each team member.
  • Develop and implement effective sales training programs for promoters, focusing on product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer service.
  • Assign monthly sales targets to promoters and monitor their progress closely.
  • Resolve promoter-related issues and conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
  • Foster a positive and results-driven team environment.

Sales & Promotional Activities:

  • Oversee the execution of promotional campaigns and events in various retail outlets, or designated locations (e.g. Trade Show/ Road Show).
  • Ensure promoters are well-equipped with necessary sales materials, product samples, and promotional collateral.
  • Monitor promoter adherence to sales talks, product messaging, and brand guidelines.
  • Conduct regular shop/ field visits to observe promoter performance, provide on-the-spot coaching, and ensure promotional activities are running smoothly.
  • Identify opportunities to maximize sales and brand exposure through effective merchandising and display strategies.
  • Assist promoters in handling complex customer inquiries or escalated issues.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Track and analyze sales performance data, including daily/weekly/monthly sales figures, customer feedback, and promoter activity.
  • Prepare comprehensive promoter operating costs and sales reports for management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Monitor competitor activities and market trends to identify potential opportunities or threats.
  • Provide insights and feedback to the marketing and sales teams on campaign effectiveness and consumer response.

Logistics & Administration:

  • Supervise and provide direction (e.g. display checklist) to Visual Merchandisers in manging inventory of promotional materials and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams and contractors for display setups.
  • Maintain accurate records of promoter attendance, working hours, and commissions.
  • Manage promoter schedules and ensure adequate staffing for all promotional events.

What you should have

  • A Diploma in Business or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, promotions, or retail, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a supervisory or team lead role, preferably managing sales promoters.
  • Proficient in using sales reporting tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by promotional events.
