What the role is:
We are seeking a highly motivated Executive to join our Payroll Services team. As a key member of our organisation, you will be responsible for managing and administering Payroll & Claims Services for our service partners.
What you will be working on:
- Payroll and claims for various government agencies using SAP system, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established policies and procedures.
- Processing payroll, including payment of salary, annual increment, bonus, AWS, allowances and statutory contributions.
- Processing salaries of exit cases (including no-pay leave).
- Ensuring that appropriate certification and approvals are in place.
- Verifying and obtaining approval for all pay transactions from Supervisor before processing payments.
- Billing of seconded officers for various government agencies.
- Performing manual computations of overpayment cases and ensuring recoveries are promptly followed up.
- Processing Journals and Payment Vouchers in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Exercising independent analysis and judgment according to SOPs and recommending courses of action when responding to Service Partners.
- Providing excellent customer service and timely responses to service partners to address their queries.
- Conducting independent reviews of work processes and systems, recommending improvements for greater efficiency and effectiveness.
- Performing any other ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned by supervisors.
What we are looking for:
We seek individuals passionate about transforming the delivery of Corporate Services for the Public Service. To succeed, you should have:
- 1 to 2 years of Payroll or Claims processing experience (preferred); candidates without experience but with a good attitude and willingness to learn are welcome.
- Preferred studies in Business Administration, Human Resource, Accountancy, or Finance.
- Strong judgment and analytical skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong stakeholder management and customer service skills.
- Logical and critical thinking abilities.
- Strong numerical aptitude.
- IT savvy, with excellent Microsoft Office skills and familiarity with technologies like RPA, data analytics, AI, etc. (advantageous).
- Knowledge of HR/Payroll software (Excelity Payroll, Workday, SAP) is a plus.
