Description

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation seeks an administratively strong Executive Officer at School of Design & Media (SDM).


Roles and Responsibilities

The role involves supporting the day-to-day administration of the School of Design & Media (SDM), working closely with lecturers and students on matters such as examinations, lecturer claims, procurement, visiting professionals, and database management. Additionally, it involves implementing and reviewing administrative systems to ensure efficient school operations while maintaining accurate records and supporting internal reporting needs.

You will liaise with various departments to coordinate cross-functional matters —including Corporate Relations & Outreach, Estate Management, and IT— and assist in organising school events such as Graduation Shows, Talks, and Masterclasses. Handling student and parent enquiries, as well as correspondence, is an important aspect of the role, requiring strong interpersonal and communication skills.

In addition, you will support the monitoring of SDM’s budget and expenditure, maintaining budget records and ensuring compliance with financial processes. The role may also include other duties or projects as assigned by the Associate Dean to support the school’s academic and strategic initiatives.


Requirements

  • You should possess a Diploma or higher qualification in any field, with 5 years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in an educational or academic environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and a strong aptitude for digital tools and systems are essential to support efficient administrative operations.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally across various stakeholders.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and departments.
  • Meticulous and dependable, with a keen eye for detail and a mature, systematic approach to managing administrative tasks and documentation.
