Job summary

A leading cultural centre in Singapore seeks a dynamic Programmes Coordinator to assist in the planning and execution of signature events. The role involves coordinating logistics, managing stakeholder relations, and providing essential administrative support. Ideal candidates will demonstrate proficiency in administration and event management, along with a passion for Chinese arts and culture. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Mandarin is essential. Job description

Responsibilities (Work Scope):

  • Assist in the planning and execution of SCCC signature programmes, which include coordination and scheduling of productions; coordinating vendors, partners and project teams; design; printing and fabrication of event collaterals; and other logistical matters such as event set-up and tear-down.
  • Provide administrative support in the implementation of SCCC programmes, such as by preparing EDMs; managing ticketing, participant registration and RSVPs; recording participation figures; conducting surveys and collating participant feedback; and ensuring proper record-keeping of information and documents.
  • Liaise and work effectively with local artistes, arts and cultural groups, and vendors to organise SCCC programmes.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and other office duties, such as data collation, maintaining of databases, as assigned by Assistant Director (Programmes), SCCC.

Requirements:

  • No specific educational or work background necessary or minimum number of years of work experience, but must have relevant work experience in administration work, programming and/or events management. Familiarity with theatre production would be preferred;
  • Proficient with Microsoft 360 (e.g. Excel spreadsheets) and designing skills on Adobe Creative Suite and Canva. Familiarity with AutoCad would be an advantage;
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin, with strong proficiency in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders;
  • Has passion and strong interest in Chinese arts, culture and heritage;
  • Experience in managing stakeholders would be preferred;
  • Knowledge and experience in working with youths, young parents and/or seniors would be an advantage;
  • Good with details, resourceful, fast-learner, able to multi-task and handle various aspects of project/programmes management;
  • Good interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills;
  • Good time and project management skills;
  • Able to work independently and be a good team player;
  • Willing to work on weekday evenings and weekends, if required, especially for our physical events and digital initiatives, such as festivals, performances, concerts, symposiums, and workshops (Note: Days off-in-lieu will be provided accordingly); and
  • Singaporean/Singapore PR only.
