Job summary

A cultural center in Singapore is seeking an individual to manage school bookings, host visits, and assist with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have a background in education or events management, experience in administration, and be proficient in Microsoft 360 and Canva. Bilingualism in English and Mandarin is preferred, along with a passion for Chinese arts and culture. This role may require weekend work.

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Manage school bookings for visits and programmes at SCCC, which includes liaising with vendors, schools and such to provide a smooth booking experience.
  • Host school visits at SCCC, which includes meet and greets, pre-gallery visit briefing, collecting participants figures and more to provide good visitor experience at SCCC.
  • Host family programmes, which includes liaising with vendors and participants where necessary and more to provide enjoyable programming experience for participants.
  • Assist with administrative tasks and other office duties, such as data collation, maintaining databases, processing payment, issuing invoices, etc.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Open to Polytechnic or University graduates with background in education or events management, but not limited to these.
  • Relevant experience in administration work and project management preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 360 (e.g. Excel spreadsheets) and designing skills Canva.
  • Bilingual in English and Mandarin, with strong proficiency in Mandarin preferred.
  • Has passion and strong interest in Chinese arts, culture and heritage.
  • Good interpersonal, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good time and project management skills.
  • Able to work independently and be a good team player.
  • Willing to work on weekends, if required.
  • Singaporean/Singapore PR only.
