Job description

What the role is:

This role focuses on financial planning and budget management for the Group. The position holder will be responsible for developing and implementing financial policies and procedures while overseeing the annual budgeting process to ensure optimal fund allocation. They will conduct detailed financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements, while monitoring budget performance and trends. Regular preparation of management and budget reports is a key responsibility. The role also includes providing financial advisory services to the Group and managing government grant-related budgets, including their utilisation and reporting requirements. This position is crucial for maintaining financial oversight and ensuring effective budget management across the organisation's activities and projects.

What you will be working on:

  • Develop financial and budgeting policies and procedures for the Group
  • Review and propose annual budget objectives and strategies for better allocation of funds to Group’s activities and projects
  • Perform in-depth financial analysis and budget analytics to identify cost-saving opportunities, forecast trends, and improve financial performance
  • Prepare periodic management and budget reports
  • Provide financial advisory for the Group
  • Manage Government grants’ budget marksmanship, utilisation and reporting.

What we are looking for:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Business Finance or equivalent
  • Professional qualification as a Chartered Accountant (CA) is advantageous
  • At least 1-2 years’ experience in accounting or finance department
  • Resourceful, meticulous, proactive, results-oriented team player
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to perform detailed budget analytics and forecasting
  • Excellent written, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with internal stakeholders and external agencies
  • Proficient in MS Office applications including Word, Excel (advanced financial modelling preferred), Power BI, and PowerPoint.

There are two vacancies available for this post.

Successful candidate will be appointed on contract basis.
