A leading company in the chemical sector is seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee Business Process Outsourcing Service Providers and enhance operational efficiency. The role entails managing logistics procedures, addressing quality issues, and implementing performance improvements. Candidates should possess a diploma in a related field and have significant experience in logistics management.

Reporting to Manager, Logistics, this position will manage the Business Process Outsourcing Service Providers (BPO SPs) to drive daily standard operating procedure compliance and achieve key performance indicator targets. The candidate is also expected to conduct investigations to address logistics quality issues, propose effective action plans as well as lead and implement quality improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
Manage and guide BPO SPs in day-to-day shipment bookings and management
Resolve daily operational issues amongst BPO SPs and stakeholders
Conduct audits and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) review meetings
Prepare shipping information for Ocean Freight tenders
Handle freight sourcing for ad-hoc rates and present shipping options to stakeholders
Maintain freight reports and perform analysis to facilitate reviews with carriers
Manage and resolve carriers' issues and evaluate carriers’ performance
Investigate customer complaints to identify root cause and implement corrective actions
Process invoices in a timely manner, and resolve billing disputes with carriers and BPO SPs
Roll out new or improved operational processes to support business needs
Lead implementation of assigned projects and suggest quality improvement initiatives
Upkeep standard operating procedures, work instructions and specifications
Perform data analysis to identify trends and insights to support business improvement
Responsibilities:
Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline with at least 5 years of relevant experience
Good knowledge on incoterms and shipping documentation
Good written and communication skills
Team player, self-motivated and independent
Ability to multi-task with good follow up skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel tools and functions
Willing to rotate to various functions within Logistics Division whenever required
