A leading shipping company seeks an Executive, Sales to drive sales efforts in their liner division. The role involves building strong customer relationships, managing sales processes, and supporting operational efficiency. Job Description
As the Executive, Sales, you will play a key role in driving sales efforts for our liner division. Your
responsibilities include soliciting new sales leads through cold-calling, preparing quotes,
accurately filing rates, and generating reports to support the sales team. Acting as a point of
contact for both local and corporate accounts, you will address escalations, resolve issues, and
ensure smooth communication with customers. By building and maintaining strong customer
relationships, you will contribute to achieving revenue targets while ensuring customer
satisfaction and fostering long-term partnerships.
Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the sales team, ensuring the timely processing of shipping quotes, orders, and contracts. Ensuring accurate rates are captured after quotations are made and are filed on a timely basis.
Act as the primary point of contact for customers, assisting with inquiries, providing shipment tracking updates, and troubleshooting issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Solicit for new business with existing customers as well as onboarding new customers.
Collaborate with the trade/sales team to create competitive and accurate shipping quotes based on customer requirements and service offerings.
Assist in generating sales reports, analyzing shipping costs, and identifying trends to support decision-making processes.
Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve any shipping or order discrepancies, working with internal teams and external partners to ensure solutions are implemented promptly.
Proactively suggest improvements to shipping processes to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and cost-effectiveness.
Building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, enhance business opportunities and customer loyalty.
Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
Diploma in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. A Bachelor’s degree is a plus. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
1-2 years of experience in a shipping, logistics, or sales support role or previous experience in international shipping or working with logistics partners is a plus.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
