In this role, you will play a key part in supporting the company’s underwriting strategy by assessing and managing risks in accordance with underwriting guidelines and treaty terms. You will work closely with agents and clients, contributing to premium growth, maintaining strong business relationships, and ensuring profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Underwrite commercial and industrial risks in line with company guidelines and treaty terms.
• Support the Head of Department in executing the Non-Marine underwriting strategy to meet premium and profitability goals.
• Recommend on risks exceeding personal underwriting authority.
• Plan and conduct visits to agents and clients to foster business growth and maintain strong relationships.
• Analyze agent portfolios to meet business targets and identify growth opportunities.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activity to provide strategic insights to the team.
• Prepare client and agent quotations in compliance with underwriting guidelines.
• Respond to inquiries on premium rates and policy terms; conduct risk surveys when necessary.
• Oversee the issuance of cover notes and confirmations of cover through marketing support.
• Assist with premium collections and review renewal cases to ensure accurate pricing and terms.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day policy/endorsement processing and cover for team members during absences.
• Perform any other ad hoc tasks as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
• Possess at least a Certificate in General Insurance (CGI).
• Detail-oriented, eager to learn, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
