Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renowned wildlife parks connecting visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces, and an eco-friendly resort.
Main Duties and Responsibilities- Coordinate with development groups for Rainforest Wild Africa (RFS) handover and takeover processes.
- Manage daily horticulture operations, analyze resources to improve efficiency and productivity, and provide guidance to the team to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks.
- Coordinate with workers and stakeholders for daily needs and plan for ad hoc requests within limited timeframes without affecting the original maintenance schedule.
- Establish good relationships with external vendors to ensure diverse and quality supply of plants and landscape materials.
- Enforce departmental policies aligned with the organization's vision, mission, and values.
- Coordinate with workers for the smooth operation of the new plant nursery and participate in plant propagation for species conservation.
- Serve as a backup for the Assistant Manager to ensure business continuity.
- Participate in management meetings and site visits to present proposals, project completions, and initiatives involving various departments, vendors, consultants, and authorities.
- Initiate and prepare purchase requisitions, goods receipts, reservations, including Capex and Opex through SAP system.
- Carry out horticultural operations to meet the landscape design intent.
- Monitor and coordinate with the Development Team for DLP management and record defects for timely clearance and inspection, leading to smooth handover/takeover.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements- Minimum recognized Degree in Botany, Horticulture, Forestry Science, Ecology, Environmental Science/Management, Landscape Architecture, or equivalent.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Love nature and enjoy working outdoors.
- Good plant knowledge is an advantage.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
