Job description

Duration: 6 months (with potential extension for another 6 months)
Location: Outram Park
Working Hours: Monday - Thursday 8.30am to 6pm; Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Executive (Grants Evaluation and Programme Support) to join our team. This role plays a key part in the administration and review of academic grants and philanthropic-funded projects, working closely with a range of stakeholders in the academic medicine community.

1. Grant Proposal Review and Coordination

  • Serve as a key point-of-contact for partnering stakeholders and relevant domains
  • Review grant applications to ensure alignment with funding guidelines, donor intent, and assessment criteria
  • Coordinate and contribute to budget reviews and panel discussions
  • Ensure timely processing of proposals through to approval

2. Post-Award Grant Administration and Governance

  • Support the administration of post-award activities, including tracking of timelines, objectives, and compliance with policies
  • Review and advise on grant variation/extension requests to ensure good governance and effective fund utilization
  • Facilitate approval processes for post-award changes
  • Compile progress reports and ensure submission of project updates and financial reports by awardees and host institutions

3. Administrative and Project Support

  • Support short-term projects and events within the department
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

  • Degree in any discipline with at least 2–3 years of relevant experience
  • Prior experience in grants/fund management and/or research project administration will be an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to coordinate multi-faceted projects effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
