Job summary

NUS Enterprise is seeking an administrative support staff for its Technology Transfer and Innovation team. You will assist with grant management and patent administration, coordinating with stakeholders and preparing essential documentation while ensuring deadlines are effectively managed.

Qualifications

  • Minimally a Diploma with working experience.
  • Prior experience in patent and/or grant administration or related roles is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support across grant administration and patent tasks.
  • Liaise with stakeholders on patent disclosures and filings.
  • Prepare reports and documents.

About Us

Technology Transfer and Innovation (TTI), NUS Enterprise is the technology translation and commercialisation arm of the National University of Singapore (NUS). We work closely with researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry partners to facilitate the commercialisation of innovative technologies.

Job Summary

The staff will be responsible for providing administrative support to Grant Management and the Patent Administration team within TTI.

Grant Management

  • Partner with Grant Administrator in all grant admin matters from application, evaluation, award and project management stages
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare reports and documents


Patent Administration

  • Liaise with technology managers, inventors, external service providers and other stakeholders in all matters pertaining to the invention disclosures/ patent filings
  • Tracking of all patent deadlines on the IP database
  • Proactively managing deadlines to avoid extension fee costs and loss of patent term due to delayed filing of responses, including follow up with technology managers for instructions on how to proceed
  • Taking initiative to draft and send appropriate instructions to intellectual property (IP) / law firms
  • Keeping record of all IP related correspondence electronically
  • Verification of legal invoices
  • General supervision of work performed by casual support staff


Requirements

  • Minimally a Diploma with working experience
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Well-organised, meticulous and detail-oriented
  • Ability to prioritise tasks effectively and work independently
  • Prior experience in patent and/or grant administration or accounting or related roles is advantageous
