NIE invites applicants to join the Finance Department as an Executive. This is a 3-year contract position.

Responsibilities
  • Administer research grants and projects.
  • Payment processing of vendors’ invoices to ensure purchases are in accordance with rules and regulations of funding agencies.
  • Payment processing of transport and general staff claims.
  • Responding timely to enquiries pertaining to research grant financial matters.
  • Assisting in the design, implementation and review of financial processes, policies and guidelines for continuous improvements, through streamlining and automation.
  • Handling ad hoc duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • A Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy or its equivalent.
  • 2 or 3 years of working experience in accounting.
  • Organized and meticulous in handling numbers and data.
  • An effective team player with a positive working attitude and is willing to learn and adapt, with problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational and communication skills, ability to prioritise, plan and multi-task and deliver assignments to adhere to timelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel pivot tables and formulas.
  • Experience in SAP would be an added advantage.
