Job summary

A leading engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Executive Engineer (Port & Maritime) to join their team in Singapore. Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in large scale marine infrastructure projects.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Executive Engineer (Port & Maritime) to join our dynamic team at Surbana Jurong Consultants Pte Ltd. This full-time position is located in Jurong West, West Region and will play a crucial role in our coastal engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Civil and Structural analysis and design of coastal and marine infrastructures such as quay wall, port, jetty, retaining walls, , etc. for local and/or overseas projects.

  • Carry out structural and geotechnical design of shallow and deep foundations.

  • Assist the Project Lead / Project Manager / Design Manager to carry out:

  • Plan for site investigation and result interpretation.

  • managing subcontracts (i.e: soil investigation contract, Accredited Checker contract, hydraulic surveyors, hydraulic study experts etc)

  • Supervise both design and/or site work.

  • Pursuing projects, preparing technical and financial proposals, obtaining internal approvals and tender submissions.

  • Ensure all engineering works comply with all relevant statutory standards, regulations, and Codes of Practice

  • Engage and manage stakeholders, such as clients, design team, site team and other relevant parties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering recognized by BCA/IES/ACES and from reputable university.

  • Master’s degree in Structural Engineering would be advantageous.

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in large scale marine infrastructure projects using British Standards and Euro Codes.

  • Basic knowledge of specialist marine studies such as berthing and mooring analysis.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Team player and able to multi-task

  • Disciplined, self-motivated and resourceful.

  • Experience in contract administration will be advantageous.

  • Well-versed in Microsoft Office Suite of Software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc)

  • Proficiency in engineering software such as SAP, STAAD Pro, AutoCAD,
