Group Technology and Operations (GTO) provides software and system development, information technology support services and banking operations.

Job Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Payments, Real-time Data Services & Open Banking APIs, you will lead the technical delivery and development for our Payment platforms, responsible for specialist Payments areas including RTGS, real-time transactions across ASEAN, and cross-border payments. You will manage project delivery scope, requirements, technology delivery governance, design, testing, timeline, and budget.

What you'll do

• Technical leadership - Support UOB payments platforms implementation under a major transformation program.
• Management oversight - Provide leadership and guidance to Technical Leads and senior IT professionals.
• Leadership - Facilitate knowledge sharing and drive strategies and technical roadmaps.
• Drive transformation - Support digital business and technology change initiatives.
• Support the Team - Build capabilities within your team and ensure deployment to value-creation opportunities.
• Build Capabilities - Responsible for building an organizational capability to support a value-creation line.
• Manage by empowerment - Manage external and internal resources, evaluate and develop people without traditional oversight.

Job Requirements

• More than 15 years technical and delivery experience, preferably in a banking or wholesale/transaction banking environment.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to transform traditional development organizations into high-performance squads.
• Experience managing teams in excess of 100 developers.
• Deep experience in technical execution, planning, and mentoring of developers, architects, and analysts.
• Experience in leading technical execution and delivery of new initiatives from inception to production.
• Managing offshore teams in a scaled agile framework.
• Extremely strong understanding of all architecture layers.
• Experience in mixed development methodologies including waterfall and Agile delivery.
