Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd in Singapore seeks an experienced Senior Credit & Risk Manager to independently review and approve credit applications for Large Corporate and Funds clients across Wholesale Banking, including overseas branches.

You will monitor macroeconomic trends, ensure risk is mitigated, maintain portfolio oversight, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to strengthen governance and credit processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 20 years of banking experience in Corporate Banking or related area.
• Strong understanding of credit and risk management principles with analytical rigor.
• Meticulous with ability to work efficiently.
• Ability to articulate, justify and defend credit decisions to internal stakeholders.
• Demonstrated integrity and teamwork.
• Knowledge of trade-related risks and structures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently review and evaluate credit applications and approvals for Large Corporates and Funds clients across Wholesale Banking, including overseas branches.
• Provide credit approvals and recommendations aligned with credit policies and risk appetite.
• Monitor macroeconomic trends and sector/country risks to inform credit decisions.
• Maintain portfolio oversight and identify concentration risks with timely risk mitigation actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conduct portfolio reviews and enhance credit processes and governance.
