Job description

Are you an inspiring leader with a heart for community service and a proven track record in strategic and operational excellence? We are looking for an experienced, visionary, and mission-aligned Executive Director to lead the organization through its next phase of growth and impact.

The Role

As Executive Director, you will report to the President and be accountable to the Executive Committee (EXCO). You will oversee strategy, operations, finance, fundraising, partnerships, and people management—ensuring that the Org's mission is delivered with excellence, compassion, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Collaborate with EXCO to shape and execute vision, mission, and strategic plans

  • Foster strong governance and uphold transparency, compliance, and effectiveness

Programme & Organisational Management

  • Oversee the design and delivery of core programmes (clinical, counselling, social services)

  • Streamline operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure service excellence

  • Lead risk management and policy development

Financial Oversight

  • Develop and manage annual budgets in partnership with Finance and Audit Committees

  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting, controls, and regulatory requirements

  • Strengthen SOPs and documentation for operations and finance

Human Resource Development

  • Oversee talent strategy, performance management, and training

  • Foster a supportive, inclusive, and motivated work culture for staff and volunteers

  • Work closely with the Volunteer Manager to ensure robust volunteer engagement

Fundraising & Partnerships

  • Lead all fundraising and grant application efforts

  • Build and sustain relationships with donors, grant-makers, government agencies, and grassroots partners

  • Work with fundraising subcommittees to develop sustainable funding models

Advocacy & Public Engagement

  • Enhance public awareness and reduce social stigma through outreach and events

  • Oversee research efforts and advocate for policy change and inclusivity

Who We’re Looking For
