A leading financial institution in Asia is seeking an Executive Director – Data & AI Security Risk as part of their digital transformation. This crucial role involves building security risk frameworks, regulatory engagement, and driving compliance excellence. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in IT risk management within financial services and demonstrated expertise in data governance and AI ethics.
Develop & Implement Risk Frameworks
Build and drive Data & AI Security Risk frameworks, governance, and policies aligned with regional and global regulations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with first and third lines of defense to integrate and embed risk controls across the business.
Regulatory Engagement
Lead regulator interactions, manage audits, and uphold regulatory and compliance standards.
️ Risk Monitoring & Advisory
Conduct risk assessments, monitor compliance performance, and implement remediation plans.
Advise stakeholders on evolving regulations and AI/data governance best practices.
15–20 years of experience in IT/Technology Risk & Compliance, ideally in financial services.
5+ years in a 2nd line strategic leadership role focused on Data & AI Risk.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., MAS, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST).
Deep expertise in AI ethics, data governance, model risk, and emerging AI technologies such as ML, NLP, and model development lifecycles.
Demonstrated experience building data and AI governance frameworks from scratch.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with a strategic, hands-on approach.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA, AIISM) are highly advantageous.
Base Salary: Up to SGD 360K + Bonus (commensurate with experience)
