Job description

Connect Energy partners with a Finance institution to look for an EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, who is responsible for the overall strategic, financial, and operational management of the company in Singapore. This is a start-up company where this position will lead the company's growth with support from stakeholders and Board Management.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operational and strategic planning for the company's growth.
  • Ensure the company operates in accordance with Singapore governance frameworks, especially MAS SFA regulations, as it is a financial institution/securities firm.
  • In the initial startup stage, take on multiple roles proactively to support company development.

Requirements

  • Degree or Master in Finance or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the securities industry, with at least 6 years in a management role.
  • Compliance with relevant examination requirements (e.g., M1A or 1B, 2A, 6 and 6A, M5, 8, and 8A).
  • Familiarity with retail and institutional clients.
  • Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and managing complex processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Team player with logical thinking, ability to work under pressure, and dedication.
  • Strong people management skills, good business acumen, and ability to build new partnerships and collaborations.
  • Must be familiar with MAS SFA rules and regulations for Capital Market License.
  • Knowledge of risk management and compliance frameworks.
  • Resident of Singapore.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, especially for engaging with Chinese stakeholders who primarily use Mandarin for business communication.
