Job summary

Ministry of Sustainability and the Environment (MSE) in Singapore seeks a well-rounded communications professional to lead digital and social media initiatives. You will develop engaging content, manage communities, and support cross-agency collaboration with PUB, NEA and SFA to promote sustainability and resource resilience.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in mass communications, marketing, media studies, social sciences or public relations.
• Excellent communications (verbal and written) and English; second language preferred.
• Experience in social media management or corporate communications beneficial but not mandatory.
• Design, photography or videography skills advantageous.
• Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
• Resourceful, adaptable, driven and a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute campaigns on digital and social media platforms to raise awareness of MSE's policies and programmes.
• Create content for MSE's digital and social media platforms (copywriting, copyediting, photography, videos, graphics).
• Build and expand MSE's social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube.
• Manage and engage online communities by responding to comments and feedback.
• Assist in website management including content updates via a CMS.

You should be able to write well and produce engaging content which meet MSE's communications goals.You will be part of the Communications and 3P Partnership Division (C3PD), which is responsible for the formulation and implementation of communications strategies, the management of MSE's digital channels and the engagement of stakeholders to foster shared partnerships of our environment and water and food resources.

What you will be working on:

• Planning and executing campaigns on digital and social media platforms to raise awareness of MSE's policies and programmes
• Conceptualising and creating content for MSE's digital and social media platforms (including content curation, copywriting, copyediting, photography, videos, graphics, etc)
• Building and expanding MSE's social media presence on channels such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube
• Managing and engaging online communities by responding to comments and feedback
• Assist in the management of MSE's websites, including content updates using a Content Management System

What we are looking for:

• Tertiary qualifications in mass communications, marketing, media studies, social sciences or public relations
• Excellent communications (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills, with a strong command of English and preferably also a second language
• Experience in social media management, content development marketing or corporate communications is beneficial but not mandatory
• Design, photography or videography skills will be an advantage
