Job description

The Digital and Content teams manage the digital strategies and framework, as well as the content and platform strategies, which will effectively position Esplanade as a leader in its field and drive through funnel marketing and performance.

As a member of the team, you are responsible for social media content creation and community management, as well as video content creation and copywriting across Esplanade’s digital platforms and channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Social media content creation, management, and community management

  • Ideation for content across all of Esplanade’s social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Telegram, Whatsapp), based on respective channel objectives and Esplanade’s event calendar.

  • Write captions according to the tone and vibe of the channel, script interviews and storyboard where necessary

  • Contribute to Esplanade’s social media content strategy

  • Video content production: filming short videos, directing simple interviews and shoots, editing short-form video content for Reels, YouTube or TikTok

  • Assist in the management of Esplanade’s social media platforms, to maintain a consistent and meaningful flow of dynamic and vibrant social content and enhance Esplanade’s social/digital presence to its various target audiences

  • Community management: Replying to queries and comments from members of the public on Esplanade’s social feeds promptly; work closely with Communications department on replies where necessary, assist in any crisis communication where needed

  • Assist in tracking the performance of our social channels and sharing insights with other departments to optimise future content production.

Copywriting, editing and content production for digital, web and print content for various audiences

  • Writing / editing the text and marketing copy of all assigned Esplanade digital, EDM, web and print content

  • Assist in the production of content marketing collaterals for major festivals or productions at Esplanade

  • With supervision, to conceptualise and produce editorial content in different formats for Esplanade’s digital programming and the Esplanade Offstage microsite. This includes managing external vendors for long- and short-form video content production, doing simple video and image editing where needed and publishing the content

  • Contribute to ideation and strategic planning that feeds into the growth of Esplanade’s digital channels such as our social channels and Esplanade Offstage

  • Digital archival where needed of Esplanade-produced videos from our digital programmes and Esplanade Offstage

General departmental duties

  • Good understanding and application of SOPs to daily work with supervision from senior members of the team

  • Administering contracts to external creatives/writers that the team works with

  • Able to plan, manage and monitor budgets with some supervision

  • Basic understanding of brand guidelines and its applications, brand positioning and monitoring brand sentiments

  • Basic understanding of marketing performance metrics. Able to use data visualisation tools to perform simple analysis and generate reports

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • University Degree in Communications, Journalism, English or a related field of Arts & Social Sciences

  • At least one to two years relevant working experience

  • Solid creative writing and communication skills are essential for this job including an ability to write for different audiences via different channels.

  • General knowledge of the arts is important

  • Possess basic video and image editing skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Good interpersonal skills and bilingual ability – fluency in an Asian language alongside English – are an advantage, as is previous experience in an arts or cultural institution.

  • Need to work closely with team members in Marketing as well as with other departments.
