A social welfare organization in Singapore seeks an experienced Executive – Communications & Partnership to develop community engagement plans, manage volunteers, and organize events. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 3 to 5 years in the social sector. Strong communication and event planning skills are essential, as well as the ability to work independently and in teams.
The Executive – Communications & Partnership is responsible for the development and execution of: -
Community engagement plans for beneficiaries in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders,
Support the department in key areas including volunteer, donor, events and communications management, and
Implement initiatives by CS Communications, and Partnerships & Engagement teams.
Community Engagement
Strategise and develop a variety of impactful programmes for residents’ engagement
Coordinate with relevant internal departments and external community partners in fulfilling community engagement projects for the NH
Build up a strong community culture among beneficiaries and external stakeholders
Volunteer Management
Strategise and grow the pool of volunteers to support the various programmes at the NH
Identify potential volunteer sources and handle volunteer enquiries
Oversee the full volunteer life cycle ranging from recruitment, screening/interview, matching, orientation, deployment, review/feedback, appreciation, training and exit.
Oversee the volunteer-led activities at the NH
Conceptualise and execute volunteer appreciation programmes and events
Maintain the Salesforce volunteer database and generate reports
Liaise with CS P&E teams to implement volunteer, fundraising initiatives
Donations In-kind/ Donor Management
Strategise and develop donation requirements to meet the needs of the NH
Identify potential donor sources and handle donor enquiries
Manage walk-ins/ calls, donation in-kind appeals and sponsorship requests and appreciation letters
Support HOD in fundraising initiatives
Event Management
Assist the HOD with external visits and NH tours
Plan and organise festive and non-festive celebrations for residents in collaboration with external stakeholders. For e.g. Christmas, CNY, Hari Raya, Deepavali, National Day celebrations, etc.
Communications
Liaise with CS on media related matters such as media consent forms, interviews and filming
Manage internal communications – update digital notice boards at residences and prepare presentation for staff meetings
Administrative and Other Work
Assist HOD with preparation of departmental reports and related admin work
Undertake any other duties assigned by the HOD or HOH
Provide coverage in the absence of team members
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree with min. 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in the social sector or equivalent experience preferred
Working Conditions & Core Competencies
Able to work with elderly in a NH environment
Good communications, writing and presentation skills
Experienced in activity planning and programme coordination
Posses critical thinking, strategic planning and effective time management skills
Able to work independently and in a team
Attention to detail, ability to prioritise and multi-task
Possess a cheerful personality
Ability to speak dialects would be an advantage
