Job Summary

The Own Damage Claim Officer is responsible for managing and processing Own Damage insurance claims for various types of vehicles in Singapore. This role involves investigating and assessing the extent of damage to vehicles, determining the cause of damage, and ensuring timely and accurate resolution of claims. The officer will collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, repair workshops, and other service providers to facilitate claim processing and settlement. Additionally, the officer will negotiate settlements, maintain detailed records, provide exceptional customer service, and stay informed of industry regulations and best practices. This position requires strong communication, analytical, and negotiation skills, as well as a thorough understanding of insurance policies and claim processing procedures.

Job Description
  • Handle own damage insurance claims for vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, and commercial vehicles
  • Investigate and assess the extent of damage to the vehicle and determine the cause of the damage
  • Must possess an eye on Fraud Detection.
  • Communicate with policyholders, insurance agents, and third-party service providers to gather necessary information and documents for the claim
  • Coordinate with repair workshops and other service providers to arrange for vehicle inspections, repairs, and other necessary services
  • Review and analyze repair estimates and invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with insurance policy terms and conditions
  • Ensuring timeliness of claim reserving, settlement and payment in accordance with the stipulated authority levels
  • Negotiate settlements with policyholders and third parties to expedite claim processing and settlement
  • Keep detailed records of claim files, correspondence, and other relevant information in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service to policyholders by responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and keeping them informed of claim status and progress
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to own damage insurance claims processing and management.
Role Requirements
  • At least Diploma and above
  • Possess BCP, PGI, ComGI
  • At least 2 years of relevant claims assessment experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Team Player
  • Good communication, problem-solving, analytical and negotiation skills
