Responsibilities

BW LPG Limited is a global leader in LPG shipping, publicly listed on both the New York and Oslo Stock Exchanges. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated accounting professional to be part of our Financial Reporting team to maintain the company\'s financial reporting as the backbone for management and statutory reporting records. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing critical financial activities for the Group\'s Shipping division, including bookkeeping, vessel pool reporting, period-end closing, and preparing statutory reports of the company.

  • Execute accounting functions in a fast-paced finance environment, including general ledger maintenance, accruals, prepayments, reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure financial data is accurately recorded and in compliance with applicable accounting standards (IFRS and FRS in Singapore).
  • Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring accuracy and completeness in the general ledger.
  • Maintain and update accounting documentation and supporting materials to ensure audit readiness and compliance with internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Managing month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting in compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Commercial, Technical, and Operations to collect, verify, and deliver accurate financial data to support timely and compliant financial reporting.
  • Support vessel pool accruals and reporting (IMOS) and related operational accounting activities.
  • Prepare financial statements and disclosures in accordance with applicable accounting standards (FRS in Singapore, IFRS) and local statutory requirements.
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes, including preparing audit schedules, responses and related documentation.
  • Assist in projects as needed and carry out any ad hoc tasks to support the team operations.
Qualifications
  • A Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CA is highly advantageous.
  • At least 3 - 5 years of experience in an accounting or auditing role, with prior experience in the shipping industry considered a strong asset.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment, including adopting new systems or standards and working with tight deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable and able to work well independently and as a team.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and business applications such as MS Office.
  • Working knowledge of consolidation and/or SOX is considered a plus.
