Job description

T he Execution Trader role provides an opportunity to work closely with Portfolio Managers with years of experience and interact directly with market makers and sales people.

Role requirements:

  • Booking deals and monitoring positions within Fixed Income
  • Executing and risk managing trades for Portfolio Managers
  • trade structuring
  • Liaising between the trading desk and support functions
  • Ensuring integrity of positions held in front office tools
  • Managing projects that improve desk efficiency as and when they arise
  • Pricing and administering unwinds and novation protocol
  • Doing quantitative work to build tools to improve trading on the desk

Experience required:

  • The candidate should have trading experience in front office on sell or buy side and good experience and understanding of a wide range of products across DM rates. The ability to ‘think on your feet’ and the organisation skills to prioritise and manage several different tasks at once is essential.
  • You will require an excellent eye for detail and be very thorough in your checks and processes. The candidate should also have a degree from a reputable university in Finance, Economics, Business or otherwise have a demonstrated interest in investment products.
  • While the desk will provide guidance, the role requires someone who can perform independently and can step up and take on increased responsibilities over time.
