Job summary

DRW is a diversified trading firm with offices across the globe. We seek a Markets Technology Specialist to be the primary SME for regional exchange tech and to assess impacts on DRW trading teams.

You will liaise between internal tech groups and exchange tech teams to ensure optimal interfaces and updated workflows. As a key contributor, you will lead upgrade projects (JPX Arrowhead, HKEX backbone, ASX 24), analyze specifications, maintain exchange docs, optimize datacenter connectivity, and

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree.
• 5-10+ years of experience with regional equity, futures and options exchanges technology.
• Deep understanding of market data and order entry protocols—binary and FIX.
• Exposure to market colocation facilities.
• Familiar with financial instruments across the trading estate.
• Understanding of exchange order processing/matching and data distribution topologies.
• Strong networking background including packet captures and Layer 1/Multicast.
• Proficiency with exchange portals and APIs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead exchange upgrade projects (Arrowhead, HKEX, ASX).
• Analyze exchange specifications and relay key details to internal stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation of exchange requirements and special cases.
• Maintain catalog of colocation and connectivity dependencies.
• Support onboarding of new trading desks and opportunities.
• Interface with exchange technology representatives for deep-dive sessions.
• Identify datacenter optimizations to improve trading efficiency.
• Collaborate with in-house software providers and trading desks.
• Guide trading system implementations focusing on technology, clearing, location and cost.
• Ensure compliance processes for each trade and exchange change.
• Craft monitoring tools and automation for dynamic tasks.
