A leading company in the luxury hospitality sector seeks an experienced Events Manager to spearhead their event planning and execution. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and strategic thinking abilities while thriving in a fast-paced environment. This role demands creativity, attention to detail, and a love for food and wine, ensuring the delivery of exceptional member experiences.
EVENTS MANAGER ROLE
· Reports to: Head of Events
· Background in Events, Entertainment, Marketing, or Hospitality
· Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills
· Excellent attention to detail, well-organized, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
· Driven with a positive, can-do attitude
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively
· Skilled in managing multiple projects and meeting tight deadlines
· Tech-savvy with knowledge of the latest event technology, ticketing systems, and platforms
· Passion for food and wine
· Assist the Head of Events in conceptualizing, planning, logistics, and executing all types of events, including physical, virtual, and hybrid formats, as well as internal staff events and club programs
· Contribute to the development of the department
· Lead and train junior staff, supporting their development and performance
· Collaborate with HR to develop training programs for staff
· Help implement and improve standard operating procedures, processes, and policies
· Manage event administration and control departmental costs
· Plan the annual events calendar and forecast budgets
· Develop pricing strategies for various event categories
· Drive sales for club events and private dining experiences
· Manage KPIs set by the Executive Committee
· Oversee the operational aspects of events, including setup, service, and teardown
· Ensure proper staffing levels for each event
· Coordinate with internal departments to meet member expectations and sales targets
· Manage stock for event spaces (furniture, linen, crockery, IT equipment, glassware)
· Deliver high-quality events that meet or exceed standards
· Gather and utilize feedback to improve future events
· Build and strengthen relationships with members and expand club offerings
· Lead by example in providing service standards consistent with a luxury brand
· Ensure a warm, welcoming environment for members and visitors
· Exceed guest expectations across all service areas
· Develop wine knowledge through training (e.g., WSET)
· Maintain comprehensive knowledge of food, wine, cooking techniques, and allergy considerations to advise guests appropriately
· Understand various restaurant service styles
· Perform duties efficiently, adhering to company policies
· Assist in menu planning with the culinary and sommelier teams
· Handle inquiries, member feedback, and complaints
· Greet guests and manage reservations
· Advise guests on menus and wine selections for events
· Support other club areas as needed under the direction of the Head of Events
