About the Role
Vicinity Events is looking for an enthusiastic Event Content Producer to support our team in delivering high-quality event productions. You’ll learn hands-on across videography, photography, editing and basic livestream support, while helping to keep shoots organised and clients informed.
What You’ll Do
- Pre-production support - Help prepare call sheets, shot lists and schedules. Coordinate gear check-outs, batteries, media cards and backups. Research venues, suppliers and example references for creative direction.
- On-site production - Assist camera ops and photographers (setting up tripods, lights, audio, gimbals). Help wrangle media, manage slates, log takes and maintain a tidy set. Support basic multi-camera/livestream setups (ATEM/switcher cable runs, mic checks). Be a calm, professional presence with clients and guests.
- Post-production - Offload and back up footage to our cloud/workflow. Assist with selects, simple assemblies and basic colour/audio touch-ups. Cut short social clips, add lower thirds/captions and export to spec. Help with QC and file delivery naming/organisation.
- Team & client coordination - Track timelines, chase assets and keep stakeholders updated. Take meeting notes and turn them into clear, actionable to-dos.
What You’ll Bring (No Experience Required)
- Genuine interest in events, content creation and storytelling.
- Basic understanding of cameras, audio and editing software (DaVinci Resolve/Adobe Premiere Pro preferred) — or a strong willingness to learn.
- Good organisation and problem-solving skills; you notice details and follow through.
- Clear communication and a polite, service-oriented mindset with clients and crew.
- Comfortable with fast-paced, live environments and occasional evenings/weekends.
- Physically able to handle equipment setup/teardown.
Nice-to-Haves
- School projects, personal reels or TikTok/IG Reels you’ve edited.
- Familiarity with ATEM/switchers, basic lighting, or social-first editing.
- Simple motion graphics (titles/lower thirds) using After Effects or similar.
- Knowledge of colour workflows and file management.
What You’ll Learn
- End-to-end event production fundamentals (pre → live → post).
- Multi-camera and livestream basics, from signal flow to show calling support.
- Professional client communication and on-site etiquette.
- Cloud-based collaboration (Frame.io/Google Workspace) and media management.
Growth & Progression
Start as Event Content Producer (Entry-Level) → develop into Event Content Producer → Senior Event Content Producer or Event Production Manager, based on performance and portfolio growth.
Working Arrangements
- Mainly on-site during events; prep and post work at the studio/hybrid as scheduled.
- If not, in office assisting with editing.
- Event hours may include evenings, weekends and public holidays (with time-off in lieu where applicable).
How to Apply
Send your CV/portfolio (personal projects welcome) and a short note on why you’d like to work in event production. If you have sample clips or social posts you’ve created, include links.
