Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL processes using the Talend ETL toolset to support data integration and transformation needs.
  • Implement scalable ETL solutions to extract, transform, and load data from a variety of sources including Cloudera, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server.
  • Design and create database schemas, tables, and constraints aligned with business and technical requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand source system structures, data retrieval techniques, and internal data tools.
  • Develop and optimize data transformation logic using Talend, SQL, Python, and scripting
  • Perform data cleansing, validation, and transformation to ensure alignment with target schema and data quality standards.
  • Contribute to the execution of data quality improvement initiatives and ensure consistent data integrity across systems.
  • Participate in troubleshooting and performance tuning activities to maintain efficient and reliable data pipelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years hands-on experience with Talend, Python, and Apache Spark.
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and big data platforms, including Hadoop, Hive, Impala, and HDFS.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling techniques.
  • Familiarity with data visualization and analytics tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to data challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, positive attitude.
