Job description

  • Position : Estimation Engineer (Aerospace) - Up to $4,500 - Seletar
  • Location : Seletar
  • Working hours : 5 Days Work Week – Monday to Friday: 8.30AM to 6.00PM
  • Salary (commensurate with experience): Up to $4,500 + Performance Bonus + 14 Days Annual Leave
  • Duration : Permanent
  • Industry : Aerospace

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain accurate cost estimates for aircraft maintenance tooling and GSE, taking into consideration materials, labour, and overhead.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to gather relevant data and insights for the estimation process.
  • Evaluate technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to determine cost-effective solutions for tool and equipment acquisition or fabrication.
  • Provide timely and accurate pricing for new projects, modifications, or repairs involving tools and GSE.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities or improvements in maintenance tooling and ground support equipment.
  • Conduct market research and work closely with suppliers to gather pricing information for materials and equipment.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in the fields of engineering, manufacturing, servicing, and repair of aircraft tooling, GSE’s, and/or similar equipment.
  • Sound working knowledge of engineering principles, GD&T, materials, surface & heat treatments, and equipment testing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
