This internship provides an opportunity to learn about electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection devices and their development through hands-on work assignments. In integrated circuit (IC) products, each pin typically requires an ESD protection device or circuit to help protect the product from ESD-related damage. Because IC products can contain anywhere from tens to thousands of pins, the performance, robustness, and area efficiency of each ESD device or circuit are critical to product reliability and business competitiveness. The intern will support the development of ESD and I/O device design guidance for IC product design teams, helping ensure effective protection strategies are considered during product development.
