Job Description

  • Work directly under the mentorship of Singapore’s Top Remisier/Stockbroker Joey Choy at Phillip Securities Pte Ltd.
  • Perform order execution for stocks and listed securities (Stocks, CFD, ETFs, DLCs, Structured Warrants, Fixed Income) on global exchanges.
  • Assist with other dealing functions such as trade reporting, off-market trades, and transactions in global markets, including CFD trades.
  • Service existing HNW and retail private clients with trading-related enquiries.
  • Stay updated on developments in the global capital markets, company announcements, and corporate actions.
  • Engage proactively and build good rapport with key clients.
  • Grow and manage relationships with new and existing customers through excellent customer service.
  • Provide advisory on stocks and markets using technical analysis (full training provided).
  • Broadcast the team’s equity trade ideas and content to clients.
  • Manage credit risk in clients’ accounts by adjusting trading limits as necessary.
  • Collaborate closely with counterparties and back-office operations on trading account matters, post-trade settlement, and corporate actions.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in any discipline will be considered.
  • No prior working experience is required; candidates who are eager to learn about the stock market are encouraged to apply as training will be provided.
  • Candidates without prior experience will be considered if they have passion and a positive attitude to learn and succeed.
  • Preferably possess passes in RES 1A, RES 5, CM-EIP, and CM-SIP for MAS licensing.
  • Strong interest or good knowledge of the stock market and investment products.
  • Ability to handle clients independently, with excellent interpersonal skills and resourcefulness.
  • Team player capable of working under pressure and being task-oriented despite ongoing interruptions.
  • Meticulous with good numerical skills.
  • Client-centric, eager to serve, and committed to providing excellent client relations.
  • Driven individuals willing to learn, excel, and become top performers in stockbroking.
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Sheets for client account tracking.
  • Effective communication skills, with Chinese language skills being a plus.
