Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Equity Analyst focused on the technology sector (e.g., internet, AI, semiconductors, and related hardware/software industries) to join our equity research team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equity research on Hong Kong and US-listed tech companies and be capable of producing high-quality, independent research to support investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities

Industry & Company Research

• Track major trends in the technology sector (HK/US markets), including policy shifts, innovation trends, and competitive landscape.
• Conduct in-depth analysis and financial modeling (DCF, comps, etc.) on covered companies.
• Produce timely updates on company performance, financial outlooks, and investment recommendations.

Thematic Research

• Identify and evaluate high-impact investment narratives and emerging technology themes.
• Develop passive strategies such as thematic ETFs that capture long-term beta from selected innovation themes.

Investment Advisory Support

• Provide clear, actionable research and insights to support client investment decisions.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with investment counsellors and fellow analysts to provide integrated investment guidance.
• Present thematic research to clients to enhance transparency and engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines; CFA/CPA preferred.
• 3+ years of equity research experience (buy-side or sell-side) with a focus on tech companies in HK/US markets.
• Proficient in Bloomberg, Wind, Excel-based financial modeling, and PowerPoint presentation.
• Strong curiosity for technology trends, sound analytical logic, attention to detail, and a high level of ownership.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to articulate complex ideas concisely.
• Language skills in English and Mandarin are required for effective communication with clients and stakeholders in both languages.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior work experience in the technology industry (e.g., internet, AI, or semiconductors).
• Recognized thought leadership or published research on platforms such as Snowball Finance, Zhihu, or LinkedIn.
