A well-established insurance group is hiring an Equity Analyst to join its internal investment management team. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a lean, high-impact investment function with direct exposure to equity research and portfolio support activities.
You'll play a key role in building financial models, conducting bottom-up company research, and contributing to investment decision-making for proprietary insurance funds.
Conduct in-depth fundamental research on assigned Singapore-listed equities.
Build, maintain, and enhance detailed company financial models.
Monitor market and industry developments, attend earnings calls and briefings.
Prepare internal research reports and investment notes.
Support portfolio managers in investment decisions and strategy execution.
Contribute to risk management policies and investment governance processes.
Perform other related tasks as required by the investment team.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accountancy, Business, or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in equity research (buy-side or sell-side), with exposure to Singapore equities strongly preferred.
Strong grasp of financial analysis and modelling; hands-on experience building company valuation models.
Familiar with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint; Bloomberg, VBA, or Python experience a plus.
Strong communication and presentation skills; able to articulate investment views clearly.
A collaborative team player who thrives in a flat, high-accountability environment.
Proficiency in English; fluency in Mandarin or another Asian language is advantageous.
Knowledge of ESG principles or ESG certification would be an added advantage.
Direct visibility to investment leadership and the CIO.
Work closely with a newly promoted team lead in a flat team structure.
