The role of Equity Analyst Coach will be composed of two main responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Equity Research
- Receive comprehensive training and practice on fundamental research for real-life cases from CIO directly.
- Conduct fundamental research on key themes and dig deep into the upstream and downstream supply chain of specific industries.
- Track market trends and monitor the status quo of portfolios under the guidance of CIO.
- Pitch investment ideas to CIO with reasonable valuation, modeling, and downside protection.
Analyst Development- Responsible for coaching new analysts by passing on the research methodology from CIO and sharing feedback on their practice with real-life cases on a daily basis.
- Monitor analysts' paper portfolios and gradually work on instructions for portfolio construction and risk management.
- Score and evaluate the progress of all equity analysts.
- Integrate data and broker resources, and allocate internally among all analysts' pools.
Requirements
- We are open to candidates with a Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in STEM-related majors, including Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Financial Engineering, Computer Science, etc.
- We prefer candidates with more than 3 years of equity research experience from both buy-side and sell-side.
- Outgoing personalities and a strong will to face direct pressure and market challenges are preferred.
- Candidates should have a strong commitment to hedge fund investment, with a long-term industry dedication.
