Job summary

HRnetOne is seeking an Equipment Support Technician to assemble, test, maintain and diagnose a range of technical systems. The role involves reading work orders, schematics and parts lists, and performing hands-on assembly and testing across electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and vacuum systems.

You will be involved in logging activity, verifying parts quality, and supporting junior colleagues. No prior experience is required; willing to work in a cleanroom and handle PPE as needed.

Qualifications

• A NITEC or Diploma is required.
• No prior experience is necessary; entry-level applicants are welcome.
• Comfortable doing physical, technical work in a cleanroom setting and using PPE.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders, drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to complete assembly tasks.
• Run tests on electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and vacuum systems with testing tools.
• Build and fix equipment at unit, subassembly and component level.
• Diagnose equipment faults and carry out repairs to keep systems running.
• Verify incoming parts meet quality requirements.
• Log work activity, test outcomes, data entry and labour hours.
• Mentor junior colleagues as needed and assist with light programming tasks.

About the Role

The Equipment Support Technician plays a hands-on role in assembling, testing, maintaining and diagnosing issues across a variety of technical systems and components.

Core responsibilities include:

• Reading and applying work orders, technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams and parts lists to complete assembly tasks correctly
• Running tests on electrical, electro-mechanical, pneumatic and vacuum systems with the appropriate testing tools and fixtures
• Building and fixing equipment at the unit, subassembly and component level
• Diagnosing equipment faults and carrying out repairs to keep systems running
• Verifying that incoming parts and materials are complete and meet quality requirements
• Working hands-on with instruments such as measurement devices, vacuum pumps, leak detectors and test rigs
• Logging work activity accurately, covering job status, test outcomes, data entry and labour hours
• Helping out with light programming tasks like software installs and equipment fixes when needed
• Operating with a good degree of independence, while mentoring junior colleagues as needed
