Overview
The Production & Assembly function is responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and packaging products. As an Equipment Specialist Molding, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of production equipment, including programming, setup, and monitoring of equipment processes, while ensuring compliance with quality, OH&S, GMP policies, and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Calibration: Coordinate and/or perform breakdowns, preventative maintenance, and calibration activities for production equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operations.
- Equipment Setup: Conduct the necessary equipment and tool setup in molding machines to meet production requirements, ensuring optimal performance.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Perform process or equipment troubleshooting and assist the engineering team with validation activities to resolve operational issues.
- Documentation & Compliance: Accurately document and record all maintenance and calibration activities as required for production equipment, ensuring full compliance with operational standards.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to standard maintenance and operating procedures, GMP, 5S practices, and health and safety policies to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by adapting existing maintenance methods and schedules to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Cross-functional Support: Support other departments in ensuring that new projects and equipment are delivered, installed, and maintained on time and to the highest standard.
- Other Tasks: Perform any other tasks or duties as required to support the team and operations.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Strong hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems and devices, with the ability to read and interpret electromechanical drawings.
- Proven experience in performing preventative maintenance activities on equipment, ensuring equipment is always in optimal working condition.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to adapt to change and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Solid understanding of computer systems, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment, both as part of a team and independently.
- Proactive self-management with a commitment to completing work to the highest standards, on time and within budget.
- Flexibility to work within a varied schedule, depending on production needs.

Preferred:
- Experience in injection molding or related fields, with a strong understanding of molding processes and equipment.
