Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage, maintain, and ensure optimal functioning of all laboratory equipment and facility systems (HVAC, cleanroom, utilities, etc.)
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for critical lab equipment
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers for equipment servicing, calibration, and facility maintenance
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, EHS, GMP)
  • Coordinate equipment qualification, asset tracking, and documentation of service records
  • Support lab renovations, expansions, and facility upgrades when required
  • Collaborate with internal departments to plan for equipment needs and process improvements
  • Manage a team of technicians or contractors, ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality standards

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Facilities Management, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in facilities or equipment management within a laboratory, cleanroom, or controlled environment
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment operations and maintenance best practices
  • Familiarity with EH&S standards, ISO certifications, and facility compliance requirements
  • Excellent organizational, troubleshooting, and project management skills
  • Able to work independently and handle emergency maintenance or breakdowns when necessary
