Job summary

The National Environment Agency (NEA) is seeking a data-savvy professional to support modelling and monitoring projects within the MID/EMMD. You will help process large environmental datasets, develop input data for models, and present results to support policy and operations.

Ideal candidates hold a relevant diploma, have strong analytical skills, and are willing to learn and contribute to fieldwork and collaborative research across air and water quality domains.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Data Analytics, AI, CS, Statistics, Mathematics or Environmental Science or related field.
• Experience or strong interest in Applied AI, ML, Data Analytics, Data Science or Digital Solutions development preferred.
• Experience in managing, processing and analysing large datasets.
• Knowledge of GIS, programming, data analytics or statistics advantageous.
• Meticulous and able to maintain accurate data, records and technical documentation.
• Self-motivated, adaptable and willing to learn and improve work processes.

Responsibilities

• Assess water quality data and identify unreliable or anomalous data.
• Compile and maintain information on pollution sources and emissions.
• Prepare input data for air and water quality models.
• Process, analyse and present environmental monitoring data and model outputs.
• Support research projects on sources, characteristics and chemical composition of pollutants.
• Provide technical and field support for deployment, operation and testing of monitoring systems.
• Assist in procurement and management of projects, including quotations and tenders.
• Collaborate with teams and stakeholders on monitoring, modelling and research projects.
• Prepare technical documentation, data summaries and reports.
