Implement and enforce site-specific EHS policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with both country and corporate guidelines.
Conduct site-level risk assessments and hazard identification, ensuring all high-risk work is properly managed and controlled.
Ensure site operations are in compliance with local and site-specific EHS laws and regulations and facilitate site inspections by regulatory bodies.
Lead investigations of all incidents and near-misses on site, ensuring root cause analysis and corrective actions are completed and documented.
Conduct regular EHS audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety protocols, equipment standards, and legal requirements.
Provide regular EHS training to site employees, including fire drills, first aid, PPE usage, and handling of hazardous materials.
Ensure compliance with fire safety regulations on-site, including fire exit routes, emergency lighting, and fire extinguisher inspections. Coordinate fire safety audits and inspections by local authorities.
Develop, maintain, and test the site emergency response plans, ensuring readiness for potential emergencies (e.g., fires, spills).
Collect and report site-specific EHS data, including incidents, near-misses, and key performance indicators, to the Country EHS Lead and site management.
Ensure that all contractors and visitors comply with site-specific safety requirements and conduct safety orientations as needed.
Oversee the proper use, maintenance, and inspection of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure all site machinery and equipment meet safety standards.
Registered and Acts as Building Fire Safety Manager.
All other safety-related matters and any other duties as assigned.
Diploma/Bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health and safety, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in manufacturing, laboratory, warehousing, central kitchen, or processing environment preferred.
MOM registered WSHO license (Workplace Safety and Health Officer) & qualified Fire Safety Manager (registered with SCDF).
Good experience in environmental & OSHA compliance, sustainability, risk assessment & reduction, occupational health & safety, and industrial hygiene are essential and capable of conducting fire drills and evacuation.
Familiar with local regulatory requirements related to workplace safety, health, and all other safety aspects.
Possess ISO knowledge and implementation. Certificates in QEHS Internal Auditing (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) will be significantly advantageous.
Able to work independently and possess good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
