Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Engineer

Responsibilities:
- Drive a positive safety culture with the aim of achieving a 'No Harm' injury rate.
- Maintain supportive and collaborative relationships with the Singapore Regional EHS team and all Business Units on EHS matters.
- Ensure the Company EHS Policy, Procedures, and Programs are embedded, understood, and effectively utilized, including promoting safety communication such as Tool Box Talks.
- Achieve Company KPI safety targets and Sustainability goals.
- Ensure compliance with all in-country Government and Company EHS requirements.
- Provide EHS technical support in engineering development, process improvements, pollution prevention, chemical management, and contractor oversight to ensure safe work processes.
- Manage the annual Internal Audit Plan to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities, including external audits of the EHS Management System.
- Coordinate and facilitate corrective actions to address audit findings.
- Review, track, and analyze hazards, near misses, and incidents to implement corrective measures.
- Lead incident investigations, analyze root causes, document findings, and implement improvements.
- Manage and deliver internal safety training to enhance safety awareness and behaviors.
- Support risk assessment processes to identify and control hazards associated with site activities.
- Maintain and analyze the sustainability and KPI database for trends and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure robust emergency response and incident management plans, including evacuation drills.
- Lead the EHS Safety Committee to proactively improve safety projects and activities.
Requirements:
- BS degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Health & Safety, or related field.
- Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with the Ministry of Manpower.
- Registered Fire Safety Manager with SCDF.
- Over three years of hands-on experience in implementing and sustaining ISO management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Experience in environmental sustainability improvements.
- Attributes: meticulous, high integrity, able to work under pressure, independent, proactive, good communicator, team player, proficient in MS Office.
