Job description

Overview

Element has an opportunity for an Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team, the Engineer will perform a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department, ensuring timely and accurate test results under minimal supervision. The engineer must be proficient in core business and technical skills, including safety compliance, adherence to the code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide technical and engineering leadership, supporting the development of new technologies within the laboratory.
  2. Ensure the accurate and timely release of testing data to customers, including sign-offs on quality control data.
  3. Seek guidance for non-routine testing situations.
  4. Oversee standard and routine technical problem-solving activities.
  5. Interact with customers on technical issues and questions.
  6. Support business development opportunities with new or existing customers.
  7. Deliver formal and informal presentations on testing processes to stakeholders.
  8. Assist in the professional development of technicians and engineers in the laboratory.
  9. Examine and implement testing concepts and analyze data.
  10. Utilize various skills, methods, procedures, and materials in testing analysis.
  11. Leverage internal, industry, and academic knowledge to reach testing conclusions.
Skills / Qualifications
  1. Knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.
  2. Expertise in the scope, theories, concepts, and terminology of the engineering discipline.
  3. Bachelor's degree in science or a testing-related field.
  4. Minimum of 2 years post-degree engineering experience or equivalent academic/professional qualifications.
  5. Ability to apply academic knowledge in the context of Element’s business.
  6. Deep understanding of testing concepts.
  7. Ability to analyze and compile testing data.
  8. Strong computer skills.
