A leading environmental management company located in Singapore seeks an Environmental Control Officer to oversee compliance with environmental regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an Environmental Management System, conducting inspections, and advising on health issues. Must be certified and have at least two years of relevant experience.

Job description

Responsibilities:
  1. Person in charge of the workplace on environmental regulations pertaining to the Environmental Public Health (Registration of Environmental Control Officers) Regulations 1999.
  2. Responsible for the implementation and revision of Environmental Management in the worksite.
  3. Act as an Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO).
  4. Establish, update, maintain, and implement the Environmental Management System and Environmental Impact Aspect assessment.
  5. Conduct or plan site environmental inspections and ensure effective implementation and continual improvement of all environmental matters.
  6. Advise the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge on environmental health issues and recommend remedies to establish a healthy working environment.
  7. Oversee the installation of noise meters at the site vicinity and monitor construction noise levels to ensure they do not exceed permissible levels throughout various construction phases.
  8. Coordinate with external pest control operators for fumigation, mosquito oiling, and rodent control measures to ensure effective site control.
  9. Liaise with the National Environment Agency & Public Utilities Board (PUB) on environmental issues and statutory compliance requirements.
  10. Update and circulate codes of practice and environmental literature to all levels of employees.
Requirements:
  • Must possess an Environmental Control Officer Certificate and be registered with the National Environmental Agency (NEA).
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
