Responsibilities:
- Person in charge of the workplace on environmental regulations pertaining to the Environmental Public Health (Registration of Environmental Control Officers) Regulations 1999.
- Responsible for the implementation and revision of Environmental Management in the worksite.
- Act as an Earth Control Measures Officer (ECMO).
- Establish, update, maintain, and implement the Environmental Management System and Environmental Impact Aspect assessment.
- Conduct or plan site environmental inspections and ensure effective implementation and continual improvement of all environmental matters.
- Advise the occupier of the workplace or other person in charge on environmental health issues and recommend remedies to establish a healthy working environment.
- Oversee the installation of noise meters at the site vicinity and monitor construction noise levels to ensure they do not exceed permissible levels throughout various construction phases.
- Coordinate with external pest control operators for fumigation, mosquito oiling, and rodent control measures to ensure effective site control.
- Liaise with the National Environment Agency & Public Utilities Board (PUB) on environmental issues and statutory compliance requirements.
- Update and circulate codes of practice and environmental literature to all levels of employees.
Requirements:
- Must possess an Environmental Control Officer Certificate and be registered with the National Environmental Agency (NEA).
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
