Job summary

LUM CHANG BUILDERS PTE. LTD. is seeking an Environmental Officer to monitor site conditions and implement measures ensuring compliance with NEA and PUB standards. You will manage waste, pests, and noise control, maintain records, and coordinate with authorities during inspections.

The role requires a degree or diploma in Safety, Environmental or OHS, NEA ECO registration, and 2–3 years of relevant experience in construction or civil projects. ECMO or WSH registration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor site environmental conditions, including cleanliness, pest control, noise, dust and waste disposal.
• Implement measures to prevent mosquito breeding, rodent infestation and other environmental health issues.
• Ensure proper silt and erosion control, and check discharge water complies with regulatory standards.
• Monitor noise and dust levels and coordinate corrective actions to meet NEA requirements.
• Ensure construction waste and hazardous materials are properly stored, handled and disposed of.
• Maintain environmental records and reports, and coordinate with NEA, PUB and other relevant authorities during inspections.
• Conduct environmental briefings and toolbox talks to raise awareness among site personnel and subcontractors.

• ECMO certification or registration as a WSH Officer is preferred.
• Familiar with Singapore's environmental regulations, including EPHA, COPEH and NEA/PUB requirements.
• Good reporting, inspection and coordination skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.
