Job summary

A leading company in Singapore is seeking an Environmental Manager to oversee and ensure compliance with environmental standards on construction sites. Responsibilities include monitoring the Environmental Management Plan, conducting inspections, and reporting issues. Candidates should have at least 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with knowledge of environmental laws.

Qualifications

  • Registered with National Environment Agency (NEA).
  • At least 5 years relevant experience in construction industry.
  • Familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor adherence to Environmental Management Plan (EMP).
  • Conduct monthly inspections and detailed audits.
  • Prepare Site Environmental Control Reports.

Job description

Job Description:

  • Monitor and verify that the Environmental Management Plan (EMP) is adhered to at all times and taking action if the specifications are not followed.
  • Monitor and verify that environmental impacts are kept to a minimum during the planning and design and construction phases of the project.
  • Conduct surveillance, monthly inspections and detailed audits.
  • Compile and complete checklists in order to aid the surveillance and inspection requirements.
  • Keep records of all activities/incidents concerning the environment on site and issuing of spot fines for transgression of activities identified in the EMP.
  • Recommend the issuing of penalties to the Engineers Representative for contravention of the EMP.
  • Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Programme and Site Environmental Control Reports to the Occupier of the construction site.
  • Identify environmental issues and recommend measures to rectify the irregularities.
  • Prepare and submit a Site Environmental Control Report to the Occupier of the construction site.
  • Assist the authorities to investigate environmental issues.
  • Organise campaigns, training courses and other activities to develop and sustain the interest of workers in maintaining good environmental health standards.
  • Any other duties /responsibilities as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Job Requirement:

  • Registered with National Environment Agency (NEA).
  • Good knowledge of ECO Scheme and Environmental Laws.
  • At least 5 years relevant working experience in construction industry; particularly civil works or in LTA project, or similar scale, complexity and nature of work will be advantages.
  • Familiar with Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
  • Good team player and able to work independently with positive attitude.
  • Working Location- Tampines Area.
  • 6 Days work per week.
